SPM mattresses are designed to guarantee the greatest possible safety in every situation: the range of SPM mattresses is very wide, and adapts perfectly to protection of the various types of obstacle.

All SPM mattresses are covered with high resistance PVC, smooth or anti-slip (on request), and are available in the standard colour, yellow, or, on request, in orange, red, blue and green.

Mattresses in TS10

Made up of sheets and cylinders in polyethylene, with a thickness of 4 cm, glued together, they are light (more than 35% lighter than traditional mattresses) and easy to transport.

At the same thickness, a mattress in TS10 absorbs twice as much as a traditional mattress in foam rubber, and reduces the risk of injury (and, consequently, of lawsuits).

With the same energy absorption, a mattress in TS10 takes up half the volume of mattresses in foam rubber; as a result, is easier to manage and to put away after use.

The polyethylene padding absorbs a quantity of water that is equal to 0.1% of its weight (foam rubber absorbs 98%), which prevents damage due to water freezing. This guarantees greater safety, and makes it longer-lasting.

These mattresses come in the following, “standard” shapes: rectangular, circular, semi-circular and folding. The shapes and dimensions can vary depending on the client’s needs.

Mattresses in foam rubber

SPM mattresses are available in various shapes and dimensions, and have an interior of high density foam rubber (21 kg/m³), with double bonding.

Depending on the needs and the requests, they can be fixed using holes along the two long sides, around the whole perimeter, or using Velcro.

The mattresses in foam rubber are available in the following shapes: rectangular, circular, semi-circular, folding, trapezoidal, spear cover, U-shaped, with hydrant cover. The shapes and dimensions can vary in accordance with the client’s needs.

Mattresses in the Air Pads range

The highly absorbent mattresses in the Air Pads range are the best solution available to dampen the impact of an athlete in the event of a fall. The low-pressure air contained in the protection system guarantees protection, and, when knocked, dissipates the energy.

The special design of the mattress means that knocks are absorbed by the whole of its surface.

The mattresses are tested in the SPM laboratory, and subsequently in CSI in Bollate, near Milan, the centre where crash-testing of Formula 1 cars is carried out; they are perfect for protecting athletes during the World Cup competitions.

The mattresses in the Air Pads range are easily anchored to the ground, using special poles and, thanks to the Velcro applied to the front, can be customised with the addition of PVC advertising materials.

– for the arrival area, suitable for making safe the breaking space at the end of the piste, normally used for the arrivals of the World Cup, Olympics and other important events. Thanks to the motorised inflation system, they are quick to put up and keep their internal pressure constant, thereby ensuring maximum protection in the event of impact:

– for the piste, used to protect pylons and TV structures along the competition run, these can also be customised in accordance with specific needs and critical characteristics;

– for cameramen and photographers; because of their special shape, they allow cameramen to have a wide field of view, and to work in complete safety.

Multidensity mattresses

Thanks to the combination of foam rubber sheets connected to each other by transversal elements and the resulting formation of air chambers with highly effective dampening of shock energy, Multidensity mattresses ensure absorption equal to that of air mattresses, but they require no maintenance or inflation systems. As a result, they are very suitable for the permanent protection of dangerous courses travelled at high speed. Designed with special transportation handles, and with lower sliding cloth, they are covered with PVC and are fixed to the ground using suitable fixing poles.

The following models of the Multidensity mattresses, which are all CRR-FIM approved, are available:

– Type A, thickness, 120 cm;

– Type B, thickness, 60 cm;

– Type C, thickness, 30 cm.

All Multidensity mattresses can be customised in accordance with the client’s needs.

The first hinged slalom poles were created in the SPM research laboratories; they were patented in 1979 and tested by the great Ingemar Stenmark. From then onwards, there were a series of improvements and new inventions, until the arrival of the revolutionary Brush Grip tip, in 2008.

Our poles have always been used for important events (the Olympics, World Cup, World Ski Championships) and minor competitions; our poles are tested directly in the field, by athletes who are members of the best national teams, and partners of SPM.

Today, SPM poles are an integral part of competition skiing, and are synonymous with quality and reliability.

Our range of poles varies primarily in terms of the tube diameter (25, 27, 29 and 30 mm) and the type of joint:

– metal, guaranteed for 2 years, for the poles in the World Cup Gate PLATINUM line, which have a diameter of 30 mm, and in the Professional Gold line, which have a diameter of 27 mm;

– plastic, guaranteed for 2 years, for poles with a diameter of 30 mm, like those of the Olimpic Club PLATINUM line, with a diameter of 27 mm, like the Trainer 27 PLATINUM, and with a diameter of 25 mm, like the Trainer 25;

– unjointed, which have a diameter of 25, 30 and 35 mm.

Another element that differentiates the SPM poles is the tip, which comes in the following versions:

– smooth tip, 36 cm long

– Snow Grip tip, which is also known as a “screw” tip, available with a length of 34 cm, or in the short version, of 26 cm

– Brush Grip tip, an innovative anchoring system (SPM patented), which consists of bristles that attach themselves to the snow and prevent the pole from coming out. The Brush grip tip is available with a length of 33.5 cm, or in the short version, of 27.7 cm.

The tubes of the PLATINUM line (either 27 or 30 mm in diameter) are guaranteed for 6 months: they are made of special, polycarbonate-based plastics, and are strengthened with a special insert placed at the top, which dampens the vibration variations and thereby reduces the number of breaks.

The poles in the PLATINUM line also have a special mark, which indicates the recommended minimum height for the correct positioning of the fabric. This saves time when fitting the fabric and provides greater safety during the competition and during training.

All of the poles are available in the colours blue, red and fluorescent orange; the 27 mm diameter poles come in other fluorescent colours; orange, green, pink and purple. They can be seen also in poor visibility conditions, and when combined with the SPM fluorescent fabric, they make up the fluorescent gate (used in the orange colour, for DH competitions in the World Cup).

SPM poles can be customised, using the new coloured sheaths, on which the logo of the ski club or of the event can be printed. The sheaths, which are available for the 25, 27 and 30 mm poles, are used in competitions and in training, and are approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS), as an addition that increases safety.

– Boy-35, mini poles in rubber, with a maximum height of 85 cm, made of soft plastic (available with a smooth, Snow Grip or Brush Grip tip);

Die Sicherheit der Sportler muss immer an erster Stelle in der Organisation eines Rennens stehen, unabhängig davon, ob es sich um einen Wettkampf gehobenen Niveaus oder um das letzte Rennen handelt.

Für diejenigen, die Wettkämpfe nicht kontinuierlich organisieren oder die es für erachtsam halten, das notwendige Material zu kaufen, ist der SPM-Verleih, der sich den jeweiligen Bedürfnissen und der Größe der Veranstaltung anpasst,  die beste Lösung.

Viele große Skisportorte, die Weltcup-Rennen ausgeführt haben, hatten im Laufe der Jahre die Möglichkeit, den Service und die Qualität des SPM-Materials für die Sicherheit kennen und zu schätzen zu lernen. Matratzen in TS10

Aus mit Blättern zusammengeklebten Polyethylzylindern mit einer Dicke von 4 cm, sind diese Matrazen leicht – mehr als 35% gegenüber herkömmlichen Matratzen – und einfach zu transportieren.

Mit der gleichen Dicke absorbiert eine Matratze in TS10 das Doppelte gegenüber einer traditionellen Schaumstoffmatratze und ermöglicht die Reduzierung von Verletzungsrisiken – und demnach auch die Reduktion von Gerichtsverfahren.

Mit gleicher Energieaufnahme nimmt eine Matratze in TS10 die Hälfte an Volumen im Vergleich zu Schaumstoffmatratzen ein: Sie sind daher einfacher zu handhaben und nach dem Gebrauch aufzubewahren.

Die Polsterung aus Polyethylen absorbiert Wasser in einer Menge gleich 0,1% des Eigengewichts (der Schaumstoff absorbiert 98%) und verhindert somit, dass das Wasser im Inneren gefriert und sie somit beschädigt. Auf diese Weise ist mehr Sicherheit sowie eine lange Lebensdauer gewährleistet.

Sie können aus den folgenden “Standard”-Formen sein: rechteckig, rund, halbrund und  als “Buch”. Zusätzlich werden je nach Kundenanfrage andere Größen und Formen angefertigt.

Schaumstoffmatratzen

Diese SPM-Matratzen in verschiedenen Formen und Größen haben das Innere  in hoher Schaustoffdichte von 21kg / m³ mit Doppelheißsiegeln.

Auf der Grundlage der Bedürfnisse und Wünsche werden sie an beiden langen Seiten mit Ösen, entlang des Umfangs oder mit Klettverschluss  befestigt.

Die Schaumstoffmatratzen sind in den folgenden Formen erhältlich: rechteckig, rund, halbrund, als “Buch”, trapezoidali coprilancia , in „U“-Form mit Abdeckungshydranten. Zusätzlich werden je nach Kundenanfrage andere Größen und Formen angefertigt.

AirPads Matratzen

Die AirPads-Matratzen mit hoher Aufnahme sind die beste erhältliche Lösung, um den Aufprall eines Athleten bei einem Sturz abzufedern. Die im Schutzsystem enthaltene Niederdruckluft garantiert Schutz und im Falle eines Zusammenstoßes die Energiedissipation.

Das besondere Design der Matratze erlaubt die Dämpfung entlang ihrer Oberfläche.

Im SPM-Labor und anschließend im Testfahrzentrum CSI von Bollate (Mailand), in dem Crashtests für F1-Autos ausgeführt werden, getestet, sind sie für Schutz des Athleten in Weltcup-Rennen perfekt.

Die AirPads-Matratzen sind leicht mit den entsprechenden Stangen auf dem Boden zu verankern und dank des frontal eingefassten Klettverschlusses können sie durch den Zusatz von PVC-Tüchern personalisiert werden.

Die AirPads-Matratzen können folgendermaßen angewandt werden:

– Für den Zielbereich geeignet, um den Bremsweg am Ende eines Rennens zu sichern, und in der Regel für die Ankommenden der Weltmeisterschaft, die Olympischen Spiele und andere Großveranstaltungen. Dank des Motoraufblassystems sind sie schnell zu montieren und erhalten einen konstanten Innendruck aufrecht, um einen maximalen Schutz im Falle eines Aufpralls zu gewährleisten;

– Für die Start- und Landebahn, nicht nur, um Pfeiler und TV-Einrichtungen entlang der Strecke zu schützen, sondern auch ad-hoc im Falle von spezifischen Bedürfnissen und besonderen Problemen verwendbar;

Multidensity-Matratzen

Dank der Kombination von Schaumplatten, die durch Querelemente und die daraus folgende Bildung von Luftkammern mit hoher Dämpfungseffektivität der Aufprallenergie verbunden sind, gewährleisten die Multidensity-Matratzen eine Aufnahme, die der einer Luftmatratze gleicht, jedoch keinerlei Wartung und Aufblassysteme benötigt. Sie eignen sich daher sehr gut für den dauerhaften Schutz in gefährlichen Situationen mit hoher Geschwindigkeit. Entwickelt mit  entsprechenden Tragegriffen und mit unterem Gleitblech, sind sie mit einer PVC-Beschichtung abgedeckt und werden durch geeignete Befestigungsstangen am Boden befestigt.

Die Multidensity-Matratzen sind alle nach CRR-FIM zugelassen und sind in den folgenden Modellen  erhältlich:

– Typ A, mit einer Dicke von 120 cm

– Typ B, mit einer Dicke von 60 cm

– Typ C, mit einer Dicke von 30 cm

Alle Multidensity-Matratzen können je nach Kundenwunsch angepasst werden.
